Zhong Yue, Jun Sixie and Qiu Jin’er followed behind Goddess Shen Hou, who made sure to pay special attention in her tutelage of the two ladies while leaving Zhong Yue to fend for himself.
The [Earth Mother’s Art of Empress] was being taught by Goddess Shen Hou. This was an art she created and only females could cultivate it; hence, although Zhong Yue could study it, actually practicing this art would result in his body structures turning into those of a female.
After a moment of explanation, Goddess Shen Hou paused to let the two ladies absorb the knowledge. However, the two ladies failed to pay attention as they were constantly glancing at Zhong Yue.
“Fuxi leader, why are you always acting like a player?” Goddess Shen Hou laughed as her vision shifted from Zhong Yue to the two ladies over and over again.
“You knew the answer already, Goddess,” answered Zhong Yue.
Goddess Shen Hou giggled, “The inheritors of Xin Huo from each generations were all womanizers. They all had lots of wives and you’re actually worried about this? You’re such a disgrace to them.”
In Zhong Yue’s psyche ocean, Xin Huo nodded in agreement, “Disgrace! Shame! I am very disappointed in you! If you’re that useless, how are you supposed to shoulder the Fuxi’s responsibilities?”
Zhong Yue was speechless and right away, he cheered himself up and after clearing his stress, incarnations walked out from his body and began examining Goddess Shen Hou’s celestial nature.
“Come on guys, let’s go impregnate ladies!” shouted an incarnation happily.
Zhong Yue’s face became as dark as coal and he immediately swallowed this incarnation.
Seeing this, the other incarnations sealed their mouths and closed their eyes before they poured their attention to examine Goddess Shen Hou’s celestial nature, trying to capture the vague divine essence in her celestial nature.
Zhong Yue secretly glanced towards the two girls, only to see Jun Sixie smiling and staring at him furiously.
Ge zhi ge zhi—
Noises were heard as she was grinding her teeths and said with her anger restrained hardly, “Pervert!”
On the other hand, Qiu Jin’er said softly, “Senior martial brother is not someone like that. He must have his reasons…”
However, even though she trusted Zhong Yue deeply, the confidence she had in Zhong Yue was beginning to waver.
After all, it had been a long time since they last saw each other and she had no idea if Zhong Yue’s heart had undergone a change after all his adventures.
Zhong Yue knew that this misunderstanding would not be cleared anytime soon so all he did was quietly examine Goddess Shen Hou’s celestial nature.
Imperial Emperor Xian Tian’s demon lord demonic nature was full of desires to destruction, it was the king of chaos that swore to lay waste to everything. On the other hand, Goddess Shen Hou’s celestial nature was filled with nurturing, it could give birth to lives and nurture them, it was like the mother of all living things.
Zhong Yue examined the celestial nature carefully, contemplating them against his own assumptions. The demon lord demonic nature and celestial lord celestial nature were both complete opposites, hence, by studying them both, it would be easier for him to achieve his own celestial nature.
As time passed, his Innate Celestial Dao was slowly being completed and perfected; wherever Goddess Shen Hou went, his incarnations followed closely while their eyes remained close.
Knowing that this was going to take quite some time, Jun Sixie turned around and asked, “I’m going for a walk. I am in a foul mood right now. Junior martial sister, do you care to join me?”
Qiu Jin’er shook her head and said, “I’ll wait for senior martial brother.”
This time, the meeting with the celestial lord and celestial nature was much easier than his first meeting with the demon lord and demonic nature. It was also not as dangerous as the meeting demon lord demonic nature. After about ten days later, the incarnations returned to him.
The Innate Celestial Dao has been achieved!
Zhong Yue’s power underwent a qualitative change as he felt his strength reach a new peak. He tried to sense his sixth innate Qi, and he noticed that the the Innate Yi Qi was absorbing the other five innate Dao’s energy and totem patterns to strengthen itself and Zhong Yue was a little bit surprised.
The Innate Yi Qi was the Innate Dao Qi contained in Dao Venerate Fu Min’s sword hilt. After cultivating the [Fu Min Dao Venerate Heart Sutra Scripture], his Innate Yi Qi started to grow over time, albeit not as quickly as the other innate Qi.
However, the Innate Yi Qi was unique in its way; it possessed the ability to absorb the energy from other innate Qi and even use the innate totem patterns in the other innate Qi as nutrients.
Zhong Yue thought that the reason his Innate Yi Qi was cultivated into Innate Yi Dao was because he noticed the Innate Yi Qi’s characteristics.
And now, he had achieved the Innate Yi Qi and cultivated the five innate Dao. His speed in condensing the Innate Yi Dao increased drastically.
Goddess Shen Hou laughed and said, “Not bad. To be able to achieve the innate Dao in such a short time, you are really not bad at all. No wonder the flame of inheritance chose you.”
Zhong Yue bowed and thanked, “If it weren’t for Goddess’s help, I wouldn’t be able to pull it off.”
“Things are not how they used to be now. Ever since the heaven and earth changed drastically and the rules were altered, if we stubbornly followed the ineffective old traditions, we are bound to be left behind.” said Goddess Shen Hou, “This time, I’ve seen the Heavenly Monarch Di Ming, explored Zi Wei and encountered a few that are not weaker than the Heavenly Monarch. I’ve also met with my friends again and from them, I learnt what happened back then. I am glad that you jumped out of the box and did not plunge yourself entirely into the Fuxi Celestial Race’s arts and techniques. But with that, the dangers that lie in your path are still far more dangerous what we’ve ever known.”
Zhong Yue nodded; there were no generations in the past that were as blooming as the one right now, let alone the massive amount of strong individuals.
Ever since the creation of Six Paths Reincarnation, the lifespan of all gods and demons increased by 5 to 6 folds, hence, each year, more and more strong magnates were accumulated and even the monarch-level was no longer that difficult to achieve.
Back then, the Qi Practitioners, including Heavenly Monarch, had only about 10,000 to 20,000 years life. But now, even the Imperial Emperors each had at least 100,000 years of lifespan, thus, bestowing them with sufficient time to enter the Heavenly Monarch level.
And now, it was already a 100,000 years since the end of Earth Order Era, just how many experts had been born since then?
And those paragons that took part in the ancient war that ended the Earth Order Era were probably still alive!
Hence, what Goddess Shen Hou said was true and perhaps, it was even tougher than what she said!
“If you are going to try and make some waves, I will provide you with some assistance.”
Goddess Shen Hou said, “But don’t rely on others too much. External assistance is only a cup of water to the ocean. Even someone like me can’t guarantee saving you from your enemies.”
Zhong Yue;s heart thumped and he asked politely, “Could you please tell me what happened back then?”
“Can you defeat me?” asked Goddess Shen Hou as she stared into Zhong Yue’s eyes.
Zhong Yue was stunned by this question and he couldn’t help but to shake his head.
“I will tell you once you can defeat me. Telling you now will only attract trouble to me.”
Goddess Shen Hou glanced at Qiu Jin’er who stood at the side without saying a word and giggled, “Your little wife here has been waiting. Why don’t you comfort her instead of asking me questions?”
With a swing, Goddess Shen Hou flew away.
Zhong Yue then walked towards Qiu Jin’er who lowered down her head upon Zhong Yue’s arrival without saying a word.
“Jin’er, let’s take a walk outside.” suggested Zhong Yue.
They then got to the spiritual lake formed by condensed innate Qi and Qiu Jin’er returned to her Huaxu True Form with human head and serpent body as she slithered on the water surface.
Zhong Yue walked beside her and the pretty girl slithered to a lotus floating on the river and sat down gracefully and quietly.
Zhong Yue sat beside her and after some time, he said, “Jin’er, do you remember the time when we first met?”
Qiu Jin’er nodded.
With mixed emotions, Zhong Yue continued, “Back then, we were pure and naive. Sometimes, I couldn’t help but think that if I manned up and confronted your mother to have you marry to me, we would’ve been married by now. Maybe, we would have stayed in Swords Gate forever and live lives that are completely different to what we are living now, a life of peace and happiness. Pity, I could only think of this during free time. You left the Ancestral Star with me, and accompanied me and suffered so much for me, I will never hurt you and turn my back on you. Some day in the future, I will give you the life you and I worked so hard to achieve!”
Qiu Jin’er’s eyes turned red and she nodded silently.
Zhong Yue wrapped his arms around her waist and continued, “I even wondered that after getting married and completing my destiny, and when we return to Ancestral Star, would our old friends still be alive. Every time cross my mind, I desperately want to return. But I just can’t, at least not now.”
Qiu Jin’er leaned on his shoulder and said gently, “Senior martial brother, no matter how treacherous your path may be, I will be always stand by you. Senior martial brother, now that I am a Huaxu and training under the Goddess, I will not be a hindrance to you anymore. You…”
She looked at her serpent tail and said with a voice so soft almost impossible to be heard, “Will you think that I am ugly right now?”
Right away, Zhong Yue felt like casting everything aside to take this girl somewhere far far away, a place far from the chaos.
But he knew that was impossible.
Hence, Zhong Yue only smiled and said, “There’s no way that I will think like that! You’re the prettiest girl alive! The most gorgeous and beautiful woman…”
At this moment, despair, anger, frustration and sadness no longer stalked Zhong Yue as he suddenly found himself to be at peace. He looked at the ripples caused by the paddlings from the daughters of Huaxu somewhere far away, listened to their beautiful singing that echoed far away and the rhythmic heartbeat of the girl sitting beside him. It was a feeling no other woman had given him except for this one.
It was love.
If time can just stop here…
He wished that this moment would last forever.
Far away, a boat slowly closed in with three ladies on it. The singing had come from Hua Qianwen, and the zither was played by Jun Sixie. There was another little girl that was about ten to twelve years old with an unhappy face.
Zhong Yue and Qiu Jin’er stood up right away while Hua Qianwen who was holding the little girl’s hand as she giggled, “Mister Yi, do you recognize this one, your daughter?”
“No!”
The little girl shouted, “I am not his daughter! I am a man!”
Hua Qianwen bursted out laughing and said, “Nuxi is blabbering nonsense again. Mister Yi, this is your daughter, Hua Nuxi.”
“My surname is Li!”
The little girl stomped and shouted furiously, “How many times do I have to tell you! I am Li Nuxi, not Hua Nuxi, I am not a real Huaxu!”
“Call me Aunt Qianwen!” shouted Hua Qianwen who pretended to be angry.
Jun Sixie on the other hand, added fuel to the fire, “When you’re still a baby, I even changed diapers for you…”
“Never talk about that anymore!” shouted back the little girl with extremely red face.
Zhong Yue was speechless and he laughed, “Celestial Li Yang?”
The little girl looked at him right away and said like a little adult, “You are just inheriting my identity! Don’t expect me to call you dad!”
