Chapter 268 His Past Relationships
"Well..." Her sultry lips uttered as her butts moved closer to his side.
"It wouldn\'t be bad to spend a bit of your money. I don\'t you think you would mind that."
Mr. Fang raised a brow. "Are you living inside my mind now?"
"Not yet," she said shaking her head. Leaning in closer to be able to see the biggest pore on his face, she continued.
"But if you want me, you only need to grant me the permission, and I will slip inside."
Fang Bingwen felt her warm breath fan his cheeks and immediately leaned away from her as his brows creased slightly.
"Stay away from me," he said at once, as if afraid of something.
Maybe he said that before he would fall for her temptation.
That little woman of his was no good. He wouldn\'t be surprised if she took things a bit further, she was known for doing things like that.
Well, he wouldn\'t like to be entangled with her, not in a place like this.
Seeing him avoiding her like that, a sigh fell off her lips before she reluctantly moved away from his side.
Picking up her wine glass, she continued to drink from it.
In the next several minutes that followed before they both turned up for the night, they chatted about their relationship and talked deeper about more important topics.
They first thing they talked about, was their family, just a surface conversation, before going on to the kind of environment they grew up in.
Next, they chatted about their past relationships, which was very important to build a more solid foundation and trust between them.
Zhang Liling and Fang Bingwen, had been in a relationship in the past, but it turned out that the relationship they have with each other, was the longest lasting one.
"When I was younger, in my second year in college, I briefly dated a girl for 2 weeks."
"What!!!" Zhang Liling\'s mouth was agape as her eyeballs protruded out of shock.
She just couldn\'t believe her ears. The first relationship Mr. Fang entered, had ended in 2 weeks?
Could that even be recorded anywhere? This simply wasn\'t a joke.
Having known him for a good time, Zhang Liling trusted and believed that he was not one to play around, because others can play around with someone for 2 weeks and it wouldn\'t be called dating.
But for him, things were different. Dating someone for only 2 weeks, was surely the shortest amount of time a relationship could last, and he broke that record.
Mr. Fang chuckled a bit at her reaction of shock as a smile that reached his eyes quickly spread across his face.
"Don\'t look at me like that," he managed to say in-between laughter.
"Well, I can\'t help it," Zhang Liling replied with her gaze never leaving his face.
In fact, she had no intentions of letting him off without hearing an explanation, as she raised a questioning brow at him.
"It\'s not that I liked her or fancied her in any way. She wasn\'t bad, but I only dated her to give myself a chance. Because of my illness, I really couldn\'t get too close with anyone."
Releasing a deep breath, he continued, "I suffered most times during classes, which forced me to start using a mask. Most of my coursemates then, thought I was proud and I heard a few of their conclusions, but I turned a blind eye on them."
"Mr. Fang, I am really surprised that you would use the word \'suffer\' on yourself." Zhang Liling interrupted with a look of surprise in her eyes.
"Why? Do you think I am a rock without feelings?" Mr. Fang retorted.
"No, but it\'s weird. You indeed suffered during those years, and I can imagine what you went through."
Although Fang Bingwen was not bullied while in school because if his family background, but he was surely discriminated against by his mates.
Fortunately, he had a greater goal for his future, so he took the discrimination against him well.
"I didn\'t go through anything," he said with a slight frown. Suddenly regretting that word he used on himself, he hurriedly clarified.
He didn\'t want any form of pity. He was born this way with his sense of smell a little sharper than normal, and he had learned to accept it.
"I didn\'t actually suffer. Just forget about what I said earlier."
Nodding in understanding, Zhang Liling urged him to go on with his story, as she found his past relationship intriguing.
She placed her elbow on the neck of the sofa before resting her jaw on her palms as she listened with keen interest.
"Well, the first girl I dated was annoying," Fang Bingwen said, while avoiding using the term \'girlfriend\' as his brows furrowed.
"In order to impress me after asking her out, she started to use a heavy perfume on herself before coming to me. I couldn\'t stand her strong scent and avoided her. When she noticed it, she confronted me about it. And being fed up with the situation even at that very point, I broke up with her there and then."
\'Wow! That was heartless...\' Zhang Liling thought to herself as she put herself in the girl\'s shoes.
Imagine if she was the one trying to find out the reason her boyfriend had been avoiding her, and then he decided to call it quits with her, she didn\'t think she would ever let him off.
Oblivious to her thoughts, Fang Bingwen continued with his story.
"The second person I dated before I called it quits, and then you came into the picture, was a quite an intelligent and independent young lady. Unfortunately, our relationship didn\'t last past a month."
"You couldn\'t stand her scent as well?" Zhang Liling guessed with an intent gaze on him.
"There was no point being in a relationship with someone you are not comfortable with. It won\'t progress.
One thing Liling came to understand while listening to the stories pertaining to his previous relationships, was that he wasn\'t able to go on because of his sensitivity.
Imagining all the activities he must have missed out on because of it, she felt a sting in her heart.
In that deep pull of emotion, she encroached into his personal space and wrapped her arms around him.
Fang Bingwen was taken aback by the gesture and was completely blank for almost a minute. At last when he found his voice, he asked, "What is it?"
Breathing in his scent, she smiled as her nose and eyes crinkled. "I just want to hug you. In this chilling room, you are the only one filled with warmth," she said softly as her lashes fluttered lightly.
Since she put it that way, he let her hug him all she wanted, but then again, he thought back to what she said.
"Are you cold? Do you want me to turn up the room temperature?"
He had just remembered that she was putting on a sleeveless dress when his stretched his hands forward and touched her bare back.
He had almost forgotten about it as he was putting on a suit that was thick enough to block his senses towards the low temperature in the room. At the moment, he was concerned for her.
"Mmmmm..." Zhang Liling hummed in response as she rubbed her cheeks on his shoulder, forgetting that her face was painted.
